Online journals and resources available to National Institute for Astrophysics’ users

In ACNP, the Italian National Serials Catalogue, is published the full list of the online journals and resources available to INAF users (over 800 titles).
A search by title is also possible, starting from INAF electronic library home page.
Clicking on a title, all the detailed information are shown. Holdings and online access conditions are displayed after clicking on the "online version" button.

Access from INAF sites

Access to online resources subscribed by INAF is generally possible through IP authentication, from all INAF research Institutes.
Titles marked with the icon

are only available after setting the INAF Library Service proxy . Please refer to the page Proxy Service for details.

Remote Access (outside INAF sites)

When you are out of your office and you want to access an online resource, you have two possibilities:
1) you can use the IDEM GARR authentication. Many resources, marked with the icon

, are available through IDEM.
Please refer to page Remote access to online resources for detailed information on how to use this service.
2) you can use a VPN (Virtual Private Network), if your Institute's Data Center supplies this service. When you log a VPN, after connecting to the Internet through a provider whatever, you are recognized with your Institute's IP range and you can also access the resources available only with the Library proxy, provided you have set it. Basically, with a VPN, you browse as if you were in your office.

Astronomical Society of the Pacific Conference Series

Cambridge University Press Journals: over 400 titles on the Cambridge Core platform. The subscription includes:

- Proceedings of the International Astronomical Union (Colloquia, Highlights, Symposia, Transactions)

IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The subscription includes:

- IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL)
- IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines, including early access documents

---- IEEE conference proceedings
---- IET conference proceedings
---- IEEE published standards
---- IEEE Standards Dictionary Online

- Bell Labs Technical Journal
- VDE VERLAG Conference Proceedings

IOPscience extra. Over 90 titles, including the Journal of Physics series, covering astronomy, astrophysics, biosciences, physics, mathematics, and interdisciplinary sciences.

Optics Infobase. The subscription includes all journals and proceedings OSA, except the Major meetings series (Optical Fiber Communication Conference-OFC, Conference on Laser and Electro-Optics-CLEO, Frontiers in Optics-FiO) .

SPIE Digital Library. The subscription includes all proceedings and journals published by SPIE

Springer Journals: over 3000 on the Springer Link platform. The subscription includes the Physics and Astronomy e Earth and Environmental Sciences collections.

Springer eBooks: over 5.000 titles from the Physics and Astronomy collection, published from 2005, and some series:

- ESO Astrophysics Symposia
- Lecture Notes in Physics
- Space Science Series of ISSI

Scopus. Citation and abstract database. It Indexes peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Web of Science. Citation and abstract database. It indexes peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Wiley Online Library. Over 1.400 titles on the Wiley Online Library platform. Reference Works and Online Books are not included.
