TRANSFORMATIVE AGREEMENTS

Starting from 2020 INAF adheres to the national transformative agreements signed within the framework of negotiations conducted by CARE-CRUI.

The main purpose of Transformative Agreements is to facilitate transition to Open Access. In fact, these are agreements negotiated with publishers which transform the traditional subscription contracts providing access to read-only content into a new contract model that covers, in addition to costs for reading the contents, also those related to the Article Processing Charge (APC) requested by publishers in order to publish in Open Access.
