Access and consultation
Access to the INAF libraries is
permitted to all INAF personnel who may need it for study and research. For additional information on other arrangements for access and on other types of users, please consult the pages of the individual libraries.
Acquisition of books and documentary materials (for internal users)
The
libraries purchase books and documentary materials on the request of
its users and on the basis of the decision of the Head of the same
libraries. For additional information on purchasing materials, consult the pages of the individual libraries.
Document delivery
INAF libraries provide Document Delivery service in accordance with current copyright regulations.
INAF users can make requests to their own library for articles published in journals or books that the library does not own. Requests should preferably be made through
MY NILDE.

Requests from external libraries must be sent through NILDE, if the requesting library is a member, otherwise by e-mail.
Only Document Delivery requests from other libraries and research facilities are accepted.
The service is free of charge on the basis of reciprocal exchange.
Interlibrary loan
All INAF personnel can borrow documents from other INAF libraries.
For information on the borrowing procedure, consult with the individual libraries.
INAF Libraries provide interlibrary loan service free of charge and on the basis of reciprocal exchange.
Only interlibrary loan requests from other libraries and research facilities are accepted. Requests
should be sent via email to the library of reference, specifying the
bibliographic references of the requested document and the information
of the requesting library. The loan period is generally one month.

INAF library personnel is available to provide bibliographical and documentary research.
